Hello all and thank you for stopping by and if this is your first time here how the hell are you? I have been using photography for clearing my mind to get to a better place in my life. You see when I started down this adventure I was needing to get to a better place mentally. I used the fact that I work so hard at focusing while out in the field shooting that I am in another place while taking the photo. I take in all that is happening around me at all times while out shooting. I have found that I take in the beauty more and more with every photo.

I love being in the ZONE while out shooting because I feel everything that is happening around me. Watching the colors change is so relaxing to my soul. I am at home on a river watching the water move across the land is so soothing to my soul again I am home. The fact is when I am out shooting I am in another world trying to capture the pure beauty that our planet has to offer us. There have been times that I will take a few shots then I will just sit and enjoy the moment. That moment of time is captured in my camera and I can always go back to that moment when I look at the image.
Seeing the images comes so easy to me I follow my heart to the point that my soul talks to me on what would be a good photo. I will stand there for a few moments to look at the whole scene. This allows me to get into the scene to the point that I am seeing so many images while standing there. Then I work out the puzzles of how to create a good image. This allows me to just think about the beauty that is around me. I tend to float towards the human aspect of the landscape because it tells more of a story on what has happened to the earth and what will happen as time goes on.

I have come back to the same locations time and time again to the point that I know where to shoot but the fact is I still take a few moments to just take it all in. Peace of mind is offered to me every time I am at a location to take a photo. Time changes each location because of weather and there is always something different to take a photo of. I have found by going back and seeing the new growth allows for different images in the same location. Using the camera to focus on what is right in front of me helps keep my life in focus. You can only deal with one thing at a time in life so I use that as a tool for my photography.
I can only take on image at a time and even if I was to take three images of the same thing each time that I snap the shutter I am capturing something different. The clouds have moved just a little, the wind has carried leaves to a new location, and the water is different as it is ever moving. The fact is not every image is the same so you have to be able to move with the weather to capture that special moment that tells the whole story. I use photography in my daily life because each person is different as well.

Mental Health is just like putting together an image there are a lot of parts that make a whole image and your mental health takes so many different aspects to keep you whole. I have found that learning how to create a composition that showcases the beauty. The way to find good mental health you have to take all the issues that you are going through in that moment and learn how to work with them to keep a calm mindset.
